A Ring Around The Collar

I always recommend hand washing your collar but most of the collars can be safely machine washed on cold. Because of the different ribbons and fabrics that are used, your discretion will need to be used. I have been machine washing my dog’s collars and leashes for years and they have always turned out perfectly. If in doubt, I recommend hand washing.

If you choose to machine wash, be sure to remove all the dog’s tags first. I suggest you place the collar in a laundry bag or a knotted pillow case. Machine wash them in cold water using a mild detergent and washed on the delicate cycle. When the washing is complete, place the collar on a towel or hang to air dry. Do NOT dry your collar in the dryer!
